The elevator doors dinged and Sero walked into the common room to see Ashido standing near the sofas. Her curly pink hair was extra poofy and she wore a pale blue dress that made her pink skin pop. “You’re beautiful,” he breathed.
Ashido’s magenta cheeks burst with hues of red and she carded her hand through her hair, brushing the matching pink locks off her shoulder. “You look nice too."
Sero bit his lip and approached her slowly. He looked plain next to her radiance. He held out his hand, and she took it. "Ready?” he asked.
Ashido nodded. “I’m excited. I can’t believe you got concert tickets. I thought you didn’t like hip hop."
"I like you,” said Sero, feeling a little more brave.
Ashido blushed again and it was his favorite shade of pinkish-red.
“Wait, wait, wait! Where do you think you’re going without a picture first?” Kaminari teased. He ran out from behind them, holding his phone up for a commemorative photo.
“Dude, we have to go.” Sero tapped his watch.
“Just one is fine,” smiled Ashido.
Sero sighed but nodded. He wrapped his arm around Ashido’s waist, pulling her in close. Kaminari stood a few feet away, phone held up in front of his face, a wide grin on cheeks, and Sero couldn’t help but smile too. Not just for the picture, but for his first date.
